Hand Knits for the Home

One of the most difficult things I have found with knitting is trying to come up with a really nice project that may take some effort--but not too much--and looks really great. I know the main goal of this blog is to create and share my own "unique" projects, but sometime this Stylista is tapped out! And I really want to keep this blog going...

So I was poking around in the library...
(not one of my favourite pass times--but a necessity) and I came across this book. Gave it a good thumb through and found there were some really nice ideas that were both elegant and chic, but more importantly simple. I am currently working on a beautiful throw that I plan to use for the living room. I recently bought my first house ("Holla!")--and I am in the process of decorating it. I really want it to have a soft, yet elegant look, but I don't want my house to look like I copied a picture out of a magazine or catalogue.  I'm all about unique pieces that no one else will have or at the very least will not be able to find easily.

Hand knits for the home : 20+ designs for stylish interiors by: Birkett, Caroline has some really nice projects. As I mentioned earlier: simple, chic and elegant. Easy instructions and a brief introduction on knitting basics for beginners . My suggestion is to browse through some of the projects and add your own twist to it.
