That's right, the poor man's cashmere---Alpaca! I'm sure you seasoned knitters are probably thinking "guuurl please, been there, done that...and I have a closet full of sweaters to show for it" but for all you newbies out there you probably can relate to what I am talking about as you have already had the frustrating experience of not getting that first project just right because of the yarn you've picked.
If you're like me and you've taken sage advice from that o' so wise kntting guru at your workplace, then you too have probably learned to knit with the cheapest acrylic yarn you could find just to get the hang of it. No one wants to throw away their hard earned money on a potential "hobby". But if you have discovered like I have that knitting can be quite rewarding and relaxing you have also come to the realization that the cheap crap (sorry faithful acrylic lovers) you started out with just ain't gonna cut it! So when I came across this beautiful ball of yarn that made whatever I was knitting at the time ( I think it was a scarf for my ex) look and feel as expensive and as beautiful as the emperors new robe, I knew I found a winner and I had to share it with my fellow knitting stylistas! (I know the robe didn't really exsit--but it was supposably crafted out of the finest yarn imaginable--I'm sure it was baby Alpaca)
If you check out my page I have listed a few stores I like to poke around in to get the best yarn for a reasonable price. Between the two, Romni Wools definately has a larger selection to choose from (I thought I was in knitter's heaven the first time I walked in), and their return policy is a'ight--could be better--so choose your projects and yarn wisely! What Mary Maxim lacks in selection they definately make up in their return policy and service/support. You can get some great tips from them gals at the store I tell you. If anyone knows of some other stores please post the info.
Happy knitting,

Am I the o' so wise knitting guru at your workplace?
