Wolfy's Baby Blanket

Here is a picture of the latest project I've been working on, which is an adaptation of "Alphabet Monkey Blanket" pattern. I saw it and thought it would be perfect for a baby gift. I made it for a co-worker who recently had a baby boy and she loved it.

My Favourite Cowl

Here is a picture of my newest project, which is an adaptation of Trisha Woodson's "My Kind of Cowl" pattern. I saw it and fell in love with it immediately. I seem to have an issue knitting with larger needles (something I am still working on as we speak), so I opted to use slightly smaller needles. Here is the material I used and the pattern I followed

9mm/13 US needles
by Bernat
Bulky / 12 ply
80% Acrylic, 20% Wool
120 yards
Row 1: k
Row 2-87: sl, k until last st, kb                                                                         Finish: Graft edges together

By slipping the first stitch and knitting in the back of the last stitch you will achieve a cleaner and tighter edge on the top and bottom (a trick I learned on YouTube). It is not necessary for the pattern though. If you prefer you can knit garter stitch as you would normally, I just prefer the look I get using this technique.
